Alpha Gamma Rho is the premier social and professional agricultural fraternity associated with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona.
Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) was founded in 1908 when sixteen men from Ohio State University and the University of Illinois joined together at a livestock exposition in Chicago. They drafted a charter and constitution, and by the 1940's AGR had spread to nearly every land-grant university in the country. The Alpha Pi chapter was founded in 1959 at the University of Arizona.
The Alpha Pi Chapter of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity currently has more than 30 members in 8 different majors and from all parts of the country. The Fraternity owns and operates a Chapter house at 645 E. University Boulevard in Tucson.
